Product was received in a acceptable time frame and the back up / Technical service was exceptional.
Quality construction and relatively easy to set up ( if your internet connection is compatible - Use Telstra only for 4g sim card Routers )
Suggested improvements for the D101S would be
* Improve the night vision which in my case is almost non existent both with/without the IR Illumination
*1080 p as opposed to 720 p
*Make the app compatible with Apple car play as in Europe so you can answer door, trigger relay etc from in car dash screen whilst driving.
*Have a local server to speed up the connection while on 4g
*Improve reliability of Geo-fencing as it is a little hit and miss with my situation

Simple to install and set up works great locally, but almost unusable remotely.

Works perfectly IF the mobile devise running the app is on the same LAN as the DoorBird. However the installation is almost pointless if the mobile devise is offsite on 4g or on a remote LAN, as the delays between the button press and the push notification, and then the even longer delay for the app to connect to the DoorBird means that in most cases delivery drivers are already driving away by the time I get to see them...and even in the off chance I catch a really slow moving one before they give up, the delay in voice transmission both ways makes it almost impossible to have a conversation anyway.

The issue is definitely not internet speed related as the problem is the same regardless of whether I'm on 4g with 30/30Mbps, or on my optical 100/100Mbps LAN at work. Latency is under 50ms everywhere as well, and the internet connection at the DoorBird end is 100% business grade as well, AND the Doorbird is CAT6 hardwired.

It appears to me that the redirect via DoorBird servers overseas is just too slow...they need to explore the option of upgrading the firmware to enable fixed IP/port forwarding communication perhaps...it's a shame because I'll be considering throwing my Doorbird away and replacing it with something more useable soon if they cant offer a solution.

At Doorbird Intercom, our aim is to keep stock locally in Australia, of all the key models in the fantastic range of Doorbird Intercom systems. That's the good news. The other good news is that if we don't have it here, it's only 10 days to 2 weeks away. 


At doorbird intercom, we look for the best and fastest freight forwarder we can. However, depending on where you live, it may be a different provider than other customers. We choose from the top couriers based on which is the best value for your area. 


If we have an item in stock...Shipping is 2 to 4 days on average 


If we don't have an item in stock...Shipping is 10 to 12 days on average 


If we don't have your chosen product in stock, it may be already on it's way to us. If it isn't, we will order it straight away and have it to you within 2 weeks. The average is 10 days.
